Definition:
The word Shofar is Hebrew and in our modem bibles it is mostly called a trumpet.
Today, the shofar is being used as an instrument of spiritual warfare and is being blown, not only in Jewish synagogues, but also in Christian Churches and Messianic Congregations all over the world to usher in the biblical festivals and to inspire people to mend their lives and repent. The purpose of the sound of the shofar is to remind God’s people to wake up out of their spiritual slumber, to see the signs of the times, and to examine the spiritual condition of their lives.
The bible says in the book of ( Joel 2:1) Blow ye the trumpet in Zion and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the Land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh for it is nigh at hand. This scripture is letting us know that the day of the Lord is near, we must become human shofars in the earth, we must lift up our voices as a human trumpet we must let God’s people know that the end is soon at hand. If we take a look at the world today, we can clearly see the sign of the times taking place, there is everything form the travel ban of Muslims from other countries entering the United States, to our youth being shot and killed by Police officers, The world is crying out for a savior, once again I ask you, where are the human shofars in the earth? The bible tells us in the book of (Isaiah 58:1) Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, an shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
We as the human shofars in the earth are called to be agents of change. We must cry loud and spare not it is our responsibility to warn the people, our preaching must come forth with power and authority. We must compel the people to see the error of their sins. Our voices must echo the very heart of God in the earth. 1 can remember some years ago, God would use me mightily in the train stations in Brooklyn)m and Queens as 1 preached the Gospel my voice became a trumpet, I would cry out “prepare ye the way for the kingdom of God is at hand, no man knows the hour!” God was using me as his human shofar, to sound an alarm; he wanted his people to know that it was urgent that they give their lives to him. IT was confirmed to me by a prophet that because 1 was obedient to God in my preaching in those trains’ stations, many people gave their lives to
Christ. Hallelujah, Glory to God! God is calling his people to a closer walk with him. The bible lets us know in the book of (Joel 2:12-13) Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: (13) and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentheth him of the evil. In biblical times pass the customary way a Jew showed grief was to tear his outer garments. This outward sign is meaningless unless the heart is broken in true repentance to God. We as the human shofar must begin to cry out at the altar for our love ones and for the world at large. We must not let go until our churches are filled to an overflow with Gods people.
Conclusion:
In conclusion I leave you with this question will you become a human shofar? Will you become an agent of change? Take your rightful positions in the earth and sound the alarm.
